Your spend, right on your home screen

The biggest update yet: a real home-screen widget, and an Export screen that shows you exactly what you're about to share before you share it.

  • NewHome-screen widget (Premium). See today's spend and your daily budget without opening the app, and jump straight to Type it, Scan a receipt or Ask AI from your home screen. Three sizes — small, medium and large — with the larger ones also showing your latest expenses by name. A budget progress bar turns red when you're close to your limit, it updates the moment you log or delete an expense, refreshes itself every hour, and works in light and dark mode. Free accounts see a locked preview with a shortcut to start a free trial, and tapping the widget takes you to the right place in the app (Add, Scan, Ask AI, Home or the upgrade screen).
  • NewRate Raqam, the native way. After your 3rd app open, Google Play's built-in rating prompt appears, so you can rate without leaving the app. Settings → Rate Raqam opens the same prompt any time.
  • ImprovedExport, rebuilt from scratch. One live screen instead of three steps, with everything you change updating the preview instantly. Pick a custom date range alongside This month, Last 3 months, This year and All time. The preview now shows a spending trend line, a category breakdown donut and your top merchants, and you can share a PDF or CSV the moment it looks right. Fully translated into all 22 supported languages.
  • ImprovedPremium paywall. The most valuable features (like the new widget) are now listed first. The feature list scrolls, with a visible scrollbar, while the subscribe button stays pinned at the bottom, and every Premium feature has a new soft, clean icon.
  • ImprovedAdd Expense. The Scan and Type it shortcuts now sit at the top of the form, so the keyboard never covers them.
  • ImprovedEmpty states. Cleaner, centered empty screens on Home and History, with a smaller icon and no boxed card.
  • ImprovedPremium that survives bad signal. If you're offline, your Premium access is remembered on your device, so features don't lock while you're on a weak connection.
  • FixedFree trial. The 7-day free trial wasn't being applied at checkout for eligible new subscribers. It's now offered and charged correctly: you start free, and you pay only if you keep it past day 7. Cancelling during your trial now keeps your access until the trial ends instead of cutting it off straight away, and a finished trial no longer leaves a stale "trial ends" date on your account.
  • FixedWidget reliability. The widget no longer shows "Sign in" while you're signed in, no longer stays at zero after you log an expense, and the medium and large sizes no longer fail to load ("Can't load widget"). The Raqam logo in every widget now has soft, rounded corners.
  • FixedSmaller fixes across the Premium paywall and the export sharing flow.

Raqam, from the beginning

The first version of Raqam. Built around one idea: logging an expense should take a sentence, not a form. Everything below shipped on day one.

  • NewNatural-language entry. Type it like a text message — "coffee with sara 800" — and Raqam parses the amount, category and merchant for you.
  • NewAI receipt scanning. Photograph a receipt and Raqam reads the total, merchant and category, flagging anything it's not confident about so you can double-check before saving.
  • NewAsk Raqam AI. Ask a plain question about your spending — "what did I spend on food?" — and get an answer built from your real entries, with the exact expenses behind it shown underneath so you can check its work.
  • NewSpending explained. A month-over-month breakdown of why your total moved, written as sentences and grounded in your real category totals — never invented figures.
  • NewBudgets. Set an overall monthly budget, or cap individual categories like Food or Transport.
  • NewRecurring bills. Track subscriptions and fixed bills separately from everyday spending, with due-date reminders.
  • NewInsights. Category breakdown, a calendar heatmap of daily spending, and a six-month trend view.
  • NewWeekly and monthly recap stories — a quick visual summary of where the money went.
  • NewBilingual. Full English and Urdu support, switchable any time.
  • NewOffline-first. Logging, editing and browsing all work with no connection — everything lives in an encrypted database on your phone and syncs the moment you're back online.
  • NewReports. Export to CSV, or a branded PDF with totals, a category breakdown and the full transaction table.
  • NewPKR plus over a dozen other currencies, biometric lock, and light, dark and system themes.
Worth knowing
